Job description
The successful candidate will teach a minimum of 15 credits (or 9 if teaching a combination of graduate and undergraduate courses) per term (fall/spring), which may include in-person, online, day and evening courses.
The Department of Business desires applicants with a commitment to the University’s mission; the mission of historically black colleges and universities; teaching, learning, and student success; integration of learning outcomes assessment into course development and teaching; use of current and emerging technologies to enhance instruction; and other responsibilities that contribute to the progress of the University. Finalists will be invited to present a teaching demonstration.Required Qualifications
- It is required that the candidate for appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor holds a terminal degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or a closely related field from the Accredited University. In some cases, exceptionally well-qualified candidates may be considered for appointment at a higher rank. ABD candidates who will not hold the terminal degree by the time of appointment may be considered, however, the appointment will be conditioned on attainment of the terminal degree within a specified time period.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with the following:
- Demonstrated scholarly contributions in high-quality, refereed journals in the field of Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
- Experience in teaching upper or lower division courses utilizing current supporting technologies at the university level.
- Familiarity with accreditation processes and assessment, including data collection, organization, and analysis.
- Excellent communication and human relations skills.
