Metropolitan Community College, founded in 1915 as the Kansas City Polytechnic Institute, is the oldest public institution of higher learning in Kansas City, MO. We are proud of our history as the first community college established in Missouri and one of the first colleges in the country to award an associate degree.
In keeping with the community-college tradition, MCC is an open-access institution. This means that if you are interested in furthering yourself through higher education, there is a place for you at MCC. We welcome first-time, returning, transfer, dual-credit, part-time and full-time students, and we make it our business to ensure you have the tools you need to be successful.
