The School of Graduate Studies at Messiah University invites applications for a full-time term-tenure track faculty in the Graduate Program in Social Work (MSW) beginning Fall 2026. The Messiah University graduate program in social work offers a specialization in Advanced Generalist Practice which is delivered fully online. Faculty in the program prioritize collegiality while striving to be excellent teachers and scholars who love working with and mentoring students.

The Program: Messiah University’s Master of Social Work is designed to prepare graduates with the knowledge, dispositions, and skills they need to be exemplary practitioners, scholars, and leaders in the field of Social Work. Our program is offered online.

Teaching across the social work curriculum with expertise in clinical practice preferred. Teaching assignments may include graduate and undergraduate level courses. Academic and professional student advising, active engagement in institutional service, and maintaining a scholarship agenda. Active participation in social work professional networks.

Qualifications
Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, a doctoral degree in Social Work or related field preferred. Experience in higher education teaching, especially in an online format. Experience working in the social work field (at least 2 years post-MSW). Professional licensing preferred.
