ACADEMIC AFFAIRS ANNOUNCES AN OPENING IN THE HEALTH SCIENCES DIVISION
POSITION: Professor, Radiologic Technology
Description of Duties:
Responsible for teaching assigned courses in accordance with the course syllabi and the schedule of the Radiologic Technology Program. Report directly to the Program Director and the Dean, Health Sciences Division. Teach fifteen (15) credit hours per semester and maintain a minimum of twelve and one half (12.5) office hours per week. Develop and maintain course syllabi and materials. Teach collaboratively within the Radiologic Technology Program. Assist with student advisement; committee work for the Program and the College. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Program Director and/or the Dean, Health Sciences Division. Responsible for didactic and laboratory teaching, including maintaining learning management system and keeping student feedback current. Supervise clinical instruction, perform clinical evaluations, and advise students. Facilitate and maintain communication between assigned clinical facility and the Clinical Coordinator. Participation in state society events. Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director of Radiologic Technology. This is a nine (9) month position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in Radiologic Technology with ARRT (R) certification. Three (3) years full-time clinical experience. A strong commitment to professional advancement in current trends in Allied Health Education. One (1) year experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited program. Proficient in curriculum development, instruction methodologies, and construction of assessment tools. Microsoft Office proficient. Light lifting up to 10 lbs. and light carrying up to 10 lbs. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and stooping. Mobility to move from building to building on-campus and to visit off-campus sites/facilities.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology, education, or related field. Teaching experience in an Associate Degree program. Knowledge of learning management systems.
