Supervisory Responsibilities: Helps supervise student workers
Summary Description:
Assist and support the Dean of Library Services; deliver research and reference services to patrons, guiding them in accessing and utilizing the library’s print and digital resource collections; design and deliver information literacy instruction sessions and serve as the library liaison to designated academic departments; contribute to the development and maintenance of the library’s website to enhance user experience.
Essential Functions:

- As Christian educators, all employees of the University should regularly attend and actively participate in a local church.
- Provide research assistance to students, faculty, staff, and community patrons in person and via phone, email, and chat services, including LibAnswers, LibChat, and virtual research consultations.
- Serve as liaison and provide reference and instruction services to graduate and upper-division undergraduate students and faculty across disciplines, including Health Sciences, Education, Counseling, and the College of Professional Studies.
- Collaborate with faculty to support student research.
- Create and maintain subject and course-specific research guides.
- Create and update tutorials and other online learning objects.
- Maintain and update the library’s website.
- Participate in professional workshops, conferences, and meetings.
- Serve on University Committees.
- Provides building supervision and reference on nights and weekends, as needed.

Education: A master’s degree in library science, information science, or equivalent from an ALA-accredited program
Experience: Previous teaching or information literacy experience in an academic library setting.
Required Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills; strategic and analytical thinking.
