Colorado Northwestern Community College was founded in 1962 as “Rangely College”. Today CNCC serves 1,700 students between its two campuses and online offerings. The main campus in Rangely sits atop a mesa overlooking the Rio Blanco river valley. It is home to top-notch programs in Dental Hygiene, Aviation Flight, Aviation Maintenance, and a National Park Ranger Academy. Our Craig campus sites on a hill with Cedar Mountain as a backdrop and offers programs in Nursing, Cybersecurity, Cosmetology, and Automotive Maintenance. Both campuses offer a variety of Arts and Science programs with guaranteed transfer options to many Colorado four-year institutions.
Colorado Northwestern Community College’s mission is to enhance people’s lives through accessible, affordable, and quality education. To that end, we serve some of the most remote areas in Colorado providing unique education opportunities through in-person, online, and remote delivery options. We provide a variety of program options for our communities including workforce training, Concurrent Enrollment, English as a Second Language, and GED programs. Additionally, full-time residents of Rangely and Moffat County can take advantage of reduced tuition thanks to a locally funded tuition buy-down which covers up to 100% of college tuition!
