Academic quality with a foundation of ethical leadership.

Since it was founded in 1834, Franklin College has been a leader in liberal arts education. In 1842, Franklin became the first college in Indiana to become coeducational with the admission of women, and that spirit of inclusiveness still characterizes the college today. Throughout our 190-year history, Franklin College has remained dedicated to the educational ideals of our namesake — a broad liberal arts curriculum, experiential learning opportunities, and a commitment to ethical leadership at home and abroad.
