New Mexico State University Alamogordo Community College (NMSU-A) is situated in the foothills of the Sacramento Mountains. This vantage point overlooks the city of Alamogordo and the Tularosa Basin. The service area of the college includes Holloman Air Force Base, White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), and stretches beyond the view to include the Mescalero Apache Reservation and approximately twenty villages and towns in Otero County. Much of the south-central New Mexico region benefits from the convenient location of the campus. Over the years enrollment has expanded. NMSU-A is a two-year comprehensive community college dedicated to the concept of high-quality, cost-effective education that meets the needs of a diverse community. While some students continue to value the long-established core courses, others seek alternatives to traditional liberal arts education. The college offers a wide variety of programs, degrees, and certificates in workforce-ready career and technical areas and 4-year educational pathways. Both face-to-face and fully online degrees and certificates are available. The campus is beautiful and modern with first-rate technology, outstanding facilities, fantastic faculty, wonderful staff, and an excellent library. Students will find contemporary computer access and wireless access across campus. A convenient schedule of classes in face-to-face, hybrid, and online course delivery options is available. Dual credit students, traditional students, and non-traditional students are provided with the opportunity to obtain college credentials. The campus also supports a continuing education program and an excellent adult education program, Pathways to Career and Education (PACE). All online courses are Quality Matters certified meaning that they are rigorous and will prepare students for success through a highly efficient and superior course delivery system
