Position Summary:

The Caver College of Aviation, Science, and Nursing at Henderson State University invites applicants for a tenure track position in Mechanical Engineering at the rank of assistant professor to begin August 2026.

Henderson State University is located in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, a charming, family-centered community of 11,000 residents situated one hour south of Little Rock, Arkansas on Interstate 30. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Teaching engineering and physics courses at all undergraduate levels
  • Student mentoring
  • Curriculum development and assessment in support of accreditation
  • Senior project supervision
  • Community industry engagement
  • University service.

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Additional Hours as requested and/or needed

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a PhD in mechanical engineering, or a related field at time of the appointment.
