Job description
Hastings College is seeking a full-time, non-tenure Mathematics faculty member to begin in August 2026. While the area of emphasis is open, the ability to teach Data Analytics is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is required; PhD strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Teach a variety of mathematics courses to departmental majors, other majors, and in the general education curriculum.
- Instruct within the block schedule, utilizing 8-week terms to facilitate focused, immersive learning.
- Serve as an academic advisor to students.
- Contribute to departmental and institutional initiatives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will hold a Maters degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; PhD is preferred. Demonstrated teaching experience is required, either concurrent to, or following graduate studies. The ability to work well as a member of a department and campus community at liberal arts college is essential.
