Job description

The responsibilities of College of Nursing and Allied Health faculty include teaching and service. We seek a faculty member who can teach within a population focus or other area of expertise and is comfortable with didactic and clinical instruction, and the use of digital learning resources. Specific rank is dependent on unique experience and qualifications.

The faculty member will be effective in teaching and mentoring diverse students; developing and implementing existing and new curricula; engaging in university service; and participating in accreditation-related processes.

Required Qualifications:

MINIMUM and PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Required: An earned master’s degree in area of specialization (as applicable).

2. Required: Ability to assume a director’s position (see internal title/job description) in area of expertise.

3. Preferred: An earned doctoral degree.

4. Required: Current New Jersey certification/licensure in area of specialization (as applicable).

5. Required: Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.

6. Preferred: Demonstrated teaching effectiveness across both online and in-person modalities.

7. Preferred: Experience in overseeing preceptors.

8. Required: Proficiency in the use of computer systems for spreadsheets, word processing, internet, videoconferencing, and e-mail.

9. Required: Proficiency in using digital learning resources (e.g., Blackboard, Typhon, Lippincott Coursepoint, Echo 360).

10. Required: Ability to manage sensitive issues with decorum and confidentiality. Required: Well organized, independent, and collaborative in carrying out responsibilities.

NOTE: Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
