Required Relevant Education & Experience:
Terminal degree at the associate professor level or better in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant field.
Terminal degree with relevant experience to be hired as Associate Professor or Professor.
Experience in Leadership role such as coordinator, or director, or department Chair.
Experience with program assessment and accreditation.
Experience with lab equipment procurement.
Experience in developing new undergraduate and graduate programs.
A foreign educational equivalent is acceptable.

Position Details:
Indiana State University seeks applications for the Inaugural Engineering Chairperson. This newly formed department is part of a reorganization of the Bailey College of Engineering and Technology and includes established programs in Engineering, Computer Science, Aviation, and Safety. The Chair reports to the Dean of the Bailey College of Engineering and Technology and is responsible to the strategic leadership of the department in academic, administrative, budgetary, and personnel decisions. Strategic directions for the Department include continued growth in diversity, development of new programs, research and graduate education, engagement with industry, and community outreach and involvement. The new Chair should be prepared to work with and advocate for all the programs included in the department in order to promote the growth and strength of each of those programs within the Department.
