Job description

Virginia Wesleyan University invites applicants for a full-time lecturer specializing in the instruction of University Physics and Physical Science to begin in August 2026. Candidates should hold an M.S. or Ph.D. in physics or a closely related field from an accredited institution, as well as college-level teaching experience. The applicant must demonstrate excellence in teaching and the ability to deliver physics lectures and labs to a diverse student population. Responsibilities include teaching lecture and laboratory courses in introductory and general physics, upper-level courses within the candidate’s specialty, supervision of undergraduate teaching assistants, and service to the department, school, and university.
