Position Status: Full-time

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of administrative experience in higher education and/or research administration;
  • A record of developing new graduate programs and/or expanding existing programs;
  • Significant leadership experience in research and grant administration at the department level and/or higher;
  • Experience in working with industry partners;
  • Experience recruiting international graduate students.

Job Specific Required Qualifications

  • An earned doctorate in an engineering or science field, or equivalent terminal degree;
  • A proven track-record of research and teaching commensurate with an appointment as a tenured full professor in one of the University’s departments;
  • Effective leadership, interpersonal, oral and written communications skills.
  • Significant experience working with graduate students and promoting graduate education;
  • Knowledge of funding sources and regulatory issues related to grant funding;
  • A proven track-record in obtaining substantial external funding to support research;
  • Successful experience in budget management and in planning;
