The School of Management and Communications at Fisher College invites qualified candidates to apply for full-time Assistant Professor and Program Director for the Marketing program at the Boston Campus. This is an onsite position.

Essential Duties:

The Program Director is responsible for the day-to-day operational management the Marketing Program including the following:

  • Have a course load of 4 Marketing courses per semester, 8 total. These courses are taught in person on the Boston Campus.
  • Act as academic advisor to Boston Campus students within the Program.
  • Create a Marketing program identity for students in the program through relevant enrichment activities (for example, clubs or speaker series).
  • Ensure that the Marketing curriculum is current and contains learning outcomes appropriate to the program or discipline and is consistent across course sections.
  • Ensure the academic quality and integrity of the curriculum, including development and review of proposals for new courses and/or course revisions.
  • Complete a Marketing Program Review every three years in accordance with institutional policy.
  • Create and host a Marketing Program Advisory Committee that shall meet at a minimum once per year. This involves identifying appropriate members and presiding over the meetings.
  • Recruit, hire, and train adjunct instructors needed to teach in the program.
  • Review student course evaluations for all faculty teaching in the program and address any issues or concerns as needed.
  • Conduct and/or review Faculty Observation forms for any faculty teaching in the program and address any issues or concerns as needed.
  • Review Marketing course syllabus and outlines as prepared by all instructors within the Program for evaluation against College-approved course learning outcomes and policies.

Qualifications

Requirements for the position include:

  • Doctoral degree in Marketing or related field. A master’s degree with professional credentials will be considered.
  • Higher education teaching experience required
  • Professional industry experience and contacts.
  • Knowledge of Canvas preferred
  • Demonstrated success in undergraduate teaching.
  • A proven commitment to inclusive pedagogy and the ability to foster a supportive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and staff across a wide range of academic, cultural, and social identities.
