Position Summary

The School of Nursing at North Dakota State University at Sanford Health in BISMARCK invites applications for a full-time faculty position (9-month academic year) to support undergraduate nursing education. We seek a dynamic educator and clinician to teach across key areas of the BSN curriculum, including Pharmacology & Pathophysiology for Nursing, Foundations of Clinical Nursing labs, and Medical-Surgical clinical instruction. This role also includes student advising, participation in recruitment efforts, and active engagement in School of Nursing committees.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate nursing courses in:
    • Pharmacology and Pathophysiology for Nursing
    • Foundations of Clinical Nursing (laboratory instructor)
    • Medical-Surgical (clinical instructor)
  • Maintain currency in clinical practice and nursing education trends
  • Provide academic advising and mentorship to BSN students throughout the curriculum
  • Participate in student recruitment events and outreach initiatives
  • Serve on School of Nursing committees and contribute to shared governance

Work Schedule:

Full-time faculty position (9-month academic year)

Hiring Range:

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN, BAN)
  • If not a doctoral degree, Master’s degree (MS, MSN)
  • An active, unencumbered RN license in the state of North Dakota (ND) or eligibility for licensing in ND
  • Strong oral and written communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree (DNP, PhD, EdD)
  • Experience teaching in a baccalaureate nursing program
  • Clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing
  • Familiarity with clinical skills labs
