Position Description Summary

The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, an independent non-profit academic clinical practice group affiliated with The George Washington University, is seeking to fill full-time faculty positions in Comprehensive Ophthalmology. The Department of Ophthalmology is part of a growing academic health center located in the heart of a world-class, vibrant metropolitan area, with its cultural, family, and educational opportunities.

Appointment rank (Instructor/Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Full Professor) and salary will be commensurate with experience. Expected to start as early as summer 2026.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include delivering excellent patient care, teaching residents and medical students, and conducting high-quality research.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must be board-certified or eligible in Ophthalmology, and eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia and Virginia at the time of appointment.

Advertised Salary: $250,000 – $375,000
