The School of Architecture at Marywood University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Practice in Construction Management beginning August 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Sordoni Construction Management Program at a pivotal stage of advancement. The program is currently a Candidate Program with the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE): the final stage of the pathway toward full accreditation. We seek a dynamic educator and industry-engaged professional eager to help shape the curriculum, strengthen industry partnerships, and contribute to accreditation and continuous improvement efforts.

As part of an interdisciplinary School that includes Architecture, Interior Architecture, and emerging technology programs, Construction Management at Marywood emphasizes integrated project delivery, collaboration across disciplines, and strong ties to regional and national industry leaders.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop and teach undergraduate courses across the Construction Management curriculum
  • Contribute to ACCE-aligned assessment and accreditation processes
  • Demonstrate significant professional leadership and ongoing engagement in the construction industry
  • Advise and mentor students in academic and career development
  • Supervise student projects, competitions, and professional engagement activities
  • Build and sustain strong industry partnerships
  • Participate in service to the School and University

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field and significant professional experience
  • Active professional practice and demonstrated leadership in the industry
  • Strong potential for teaching excellence

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Construction Management or terminal degree in a related field
  • Professional licensure or industry certifications
  • Experience with accreditation, assessment, or program development
