Computer Science Open Rank Tenure Track or College Faculty position, depending on experience and qualifications
The position will teach undergraduate courses in Computer Science in a residential program.
Faculty members are expected to maintain a program of intellectual contributions in the form of peer-reviewed academic presentations, proceedings, and publications or other forms of professional development for college faculty. Faculty will also mentor students and accept departmental, college, and university service assignments.
The School of Information Technology and Computing employs seven full-time faculty members, five holding terminal degrees. The department offers residential undergraduate majors in computer science and digital entertainment technology.
ACU’s College of Business Administration educates business and technology professionals for Christian service and leadership throughout the world. With AACSB and ABET secondary accreditation, the college offers eight undergraduate majors and a Master of Accountancy on the Abilene campus and partners with ACU Online to deliver two undergraduate and two graduate online programs. The college includes four academic units (Accounting Department; Dukes School of Finance; Management Sciences Department; School of Information Technology and Computing) and two centers (Griggs Center for Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy; Lytle Center for Faith and Leadership).
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have an earned doctorate in computer science. In addition, qualified candidates will have a strong record of relevant professional and/or research experience, combined with a commitment to ongoing professional development, as well as proven college/university teaching experience, or show strong promise in teaching.
