Strategic Leadership & Academic Excellence
- Faculty Empowerment: Orchestrate the full lifecycle of faculty development, from strategic recruitment to pedagogical mentorship, fostering a culture of instructional innovation.
- Curriculum & Rigor: Direct the CTE dual credit pipeline, ensuring that high school partnerships maintain collegiate standards and provide seamless pathways for student advancement.
- Student Success & Advocacy: Serve as the chief arbiter for academic matters, championing student success and maintaining the integrity of the educational experience.
- Agile Scheduling: Architect a responsive, data-driven instructional schedule that balances student demand with faculty expertise and institutional efficiency.
Economic Impact & Workforce Innovation
- Industry Partnership: Serve as the college’s primary liaison to the regional economy, cultivating high-value partnerships with employers to expand internships, apprenticeships, and direct-to-hire pipelines.
- Signature Programming: Lead the strategy and execution of high-visibility initiatives, such as Manufacturing Day, positioning SVCC as the regional hub for workforce development.
- Executive Oversight: Provide high-level strategic direction to key specialized units, including:
- The SVCC Police Academy
- Adult Education & Literacy
- Economic Development and Donor Relations
Fiscal Stewardship & Grant Management
- Perkins V Leadership: Serve as the lead administrator for the Perkins V Grant, leveraging federal resources to modernize instructional technology and drive departmental growth.
- Budgetary Strategy: Direct the Academic Services annual budget with a focus on ROI, ensuring resources are strategically aligned with the college’s long-term vision.
- Institutional Planning: Facilitate collaborative goal-setting with faculty leaders to ensure departmental operations move in lockstep with the College Strategic Plan.
Institutional Governance
- Policy Leadership: Represent the BCTE division on the Leadership Council, contributing your voice to college-wide policy-making and strategic initiatives.
- Operational Integrity: Participate in the Night Administrator rotation, ensuring administrative responsiveness and campus safety during evening hours.

Qualifications
- Required: Master’s degree and experience in administrative leadership.
- Experience: Proven track record in CTE (Career and Technical Education), curriculum design, and faculty evaluation.
- Industry Connection: Demonstrated success in building partnerships with manufacturing, business, or industrial sectors.
- Fiscal Acumen: Direct experience with grant management (Perkins V preferred) and multi-departmental budgeting.
