Job Description

Seton Hill University invites applications for the tenure track position of Clinical Coordinator/Assistant or Associate Professor for the Nutrition and Dietetics Program. Start date is August 1, 2026. The Nutrition & Dietetics Program sits in the College of Health Professions & Natural Sciences. The Clinical Coordinator reports to the Program Director and College Dean. The program offers Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees, including the ACEND accredited MS in Nutrition & Dietetics.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative (Clinical Coordinator)
    • Secures sites for clinical experiential learning; ensuring student placement in appropriate and sufficient clinical sites.
    • Support and evaluates clinical sites and preceptors; ensuring that the clinical experiential learning portions of the program are in compliance with all applicable ACEND standards.
    • Provide development opportunities for preceptors; maintain and distribute the Preceptor Handbook.
    • Monitor and document student achievement of competencies associated with clinical experiences and completing ACEND reports.
    • Supervise and observe students at clinical sites.
  • Teaching and advising
    • Teach both undergraduate and graduate populations
    • Teach in both in-person and online formats
    • Mentor students through academic and professional development
    • Provide academic advising
  • Scholarship and professional activities
    • Engage in professional and/or scholarly activity in the field
  • Service to the University
    • Participate in service to the College and University

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A MS in Nutrition & Dietetics, or related field, is required
  • Registered Dietitian, licensed to practice in Pennsylvania

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with ACEND accreditation standards
  • Prior teaching experience
  • Prior experience with supervising students in clinical experiences
