Position Title: Assistant/Associate Professor, School of Social Work

Position Summary

The School of Social Work at the University at Buffalo is searching for a faculty colleague to join our school in a tenure-track faculty position as an Assistant or Associate Professor.

The successful candidate for this position will have:

  • A doctorate in Social Work or a related discipline
  • An MSW with practice experience
  • An active research agenda
  • Experience having taught social work courses in seated, online, and hybrid environments.

Duties include:

  • Conducting fundable research.
  • Teaching in the schools degree programs.
  • Engaging in cross-disciplinary collaboration with university colleagues.
  • Participating on school committees.

Applicants are expected to have a scholarly record appropriate for the rank to which they are applying.

Minimum Qualifications

  • PhD in social work or a related field
  • MSW or a masters degree in a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in social work or social welfare
  • MSW and two years of post-MSW practice experience
