Position description
The Berkeley Haas finance program has long been held in high regard by both researchers and finance practitioners, both domestically and around the world. Our faculty include leading researchers in a broad set of theoretical and empirical aspects of financial markets and corporate finance. Faculty members investigate substantive topics such as asset pricing, sustainable investing, banking, securities trading, risk management, financial regulation, exchange rate dynamics, mutual fund flows, credit ratings, mortgage markets, and insurance markets. Our faculty are also widely recognized for advancing knowledge and developing theories in allied fields such as real estate in addition to finance.
At Berkeley Haas, we believe that a fundamental step in redefining the business leader is to get our culture right, because this culture encourages students to develop the mindset and behaviors of innovative leaders. Berkeley Haas students, faculty, staff, and alumni live our distinctive culture out loud by embracing our four Defining Leadership Principles.
Berkeley Haas is committed to addressing the family needs of faculty, including dual career couples and single parents. We are also interested in candidates who have had non-traditional career paths or who have taken time off for family reasons, or who have achieved excellence in careers outside academia. For information about potential relocation to Berkeley, or career needs of accompanying partners and spouses, please visit the Office for Faculty Equity and Welfare’s website for New Faculty.
