The University is seeking a full-time (nine month) Accounting Faculty Member, beginning in the Spring 2027 semester. Rank is Assistant Professor or higher. Compensation is competitive among the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities. A full complement of benefits is provided, including a health care plan, retirement contributions and tuition assistance (self and dependents).
Responsibilities and expectations for this position include
- Teaching a broad range of undergraduate and/or graduate accounting courses and courses in closely related business disciplines.
- Advising students majoring in Accounting and/or related business majors and ensuring that their academic progress meets requirements set by the institution, as well as working with students to encourage professional development.
- Develop and update curriculum to align with industry standards and academic best practices.
- Supporting efforts for continuous improvement within the business programs.
- Engage in university service, including committee participation and student development initiatives.
- Collaborate with industry professionals to create experiential learning opportunities such as internships, capstone projects, and research collaborations.
Qualifications for the successful candidate:
- Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field required; PhD or DBA preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant designation required.
- Work experience in accounting.
- Evangelical Christian statement of faith, experience, and mission fit.
- Personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
- Understanding and alignment of the heritage, doctrine, and practices of the Church of the Nazarene.
