Young Harris College invites applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of English beginning August 1, 2027. A Ph.D. in English with a specialization in Eighteenth or Nineteenth-Century British Literature and Culture is required by the time of appointment; ABD candidates nearing completion will be considered. The successful candidate will teach a range of courses, including composition, surveys of British and/or World literature, Romanticism, Victorian literature, history of the novel, and other courses related to their specialty. Young Harris College is a teaching-focused liberal arts institution that values both effective instruction and vibrant scholarly engagement. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate teaching, an active research agenda, and the ability to mentor students in guided research experiences.
