The University

Morgan State University is an HBCU (Historically Black College and University) and Maryland’s Preeminent Public Urban Research University, located in the bustling city of Baltimore, MD. With its proximity to the nation’s capital, where many federal agencies and major industries are, Morgan is well positioned to grow. In the last five years, the University has increased its enrollment by more than 50%, from 7500 to over 12,000 students, and has tripled its research grants, from about $30 million to over $100 million in 2024-2025. The university has 900 faculty members and offers a comprehensive array of degree programs including more than 60 baccalaureates, 40 master’s, and 30 doctorate programs.
