The University of Findlay invites applications for a tenure-track position in chemistry beginning August 2025 in the College of Sciences. A Ph.D. in chemistry is required with preference given to those candidates with a subfield specialty of biochemistry or bioanalytical chemistry. ABD applicants will be considered, but the terminal degree must be obtained prior to the appointment start date. Candidates must be committed to student-centered education as well as professional development and interdisciplinary scholarship, as the position will support both the chemistry and biochemistry program and a variety of STEM areas across campus. Research interests involving mentoring of undergraduate students and participation in departmental planning, assessment, student academic advising, and STEM service activities with university and community members are required.
The candidate must possess strong communication skills and a desire to work with students in a university setting that prides itself on providing close relationships between students and faculty. The University of Findlay assumes responsibility for assignment of faculty to courses and committee assignments, student advising, and input for curriculum planning. The rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications for the position.
