Responsibilities include classroom and laboratory-based teaching and research in the Engineering Technology concentrations, advising students and serving on various university committees. Teaching duties may include undergraduate teaching in AC/DC Electrical Circuits, Digital Electronics, Advanced Electronics, Electrical Machinery, Instrumentation and Controls, Robotics and Industrial Automation. Teaching responsibilities may include both on-site and online delivery methods.
QUALIFICATIONS:
LeTourneau University seeks a person with an enthusiastic and contagious Christian faith who is committed to teaching and research at a small, dynamic Christian University where the integration of faith and academic excellence is paramount. The candidate must be in genuine agreement with the University’s Statement of Faith and Community Covenant for life and work at LeTourneau.
Applicants must have a strong commitment to undergraduate engineering technology education with a strong emphasis on laboratory instruction. Desired areas of expertise include electrical circuits, digital devices, plant and/or factory instrumentation and controls, as well as the modern needs of industry. Of special interest are candidates with experience in automation, robotics, and mechatronics. Candidates must hold a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited institution and a graduate degree (M.S. minimum) in Electrical Engineering or similar. Industrial experience is highly desirable. Successful candidates will demonstrate evidence of outstanding potential in undergraduate teaching.

SCHEDULE:
The position is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track faculty position for fall and spring semesters, with the possibility of summer school and online teaching. Classes and other responsibilities are conducted primarily weekdays but may include evening classes, independent studies, or online responsibilities. Attendance will also be required at some evening and weekend events.

The School of Engineering and Engineering Technology offers EAC/ABET accredited degrees in engineering with concentrations in mechanical, electrical, materials joining, biomedical, civil and computer engineering and TAC/ABET accredited degrees in engineering technology with concentrations in mechanical, electrical and materials joining. The School of Engineering and Engineering Technology has over 400 students and 25 full-time faculty.
