- Teach Intro to Sport Science Technologies, Practicum in Sport Science, Capstone in Sport Science, Principles of Return to Play, Immersion in Sport Science
- Instruct courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs.
- Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field.
- Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities.
- Contribute to student growth and development including student advising.
- Provide service to the university and community including the program, the department, the college, the university, and the greater community.
- Support Winona State University’s mission to enhance the intellectual, social, cultural, and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve. Assist with programmatic curricular design.
- Design and manage short-term and ongoing collaborative research projects within WSU Athletics and other interdepartmental partnerships
- Share outcomes and report generative and data driven recommendations with players, coaches, strength and conditioning specialists for performance enhancement and injury prevention or tracking
- Disseminate findings through on-campus presentations, publications, and/or poster/conference podium presentations
- Assist with technology equipment selection, implementation and maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications
- MS in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or similar Allied Health
- Demonstrated success with scholarly work through publications and/or presentations at national and/or regional conferences
- Experience in sports medicine and facilitating athlete return to play testing protocols
- Experience as a sport scientist and sport performance.
- Teaching experience at the graduate level in sports performance
- Certified Performance and Sport Scientist (NSCA) Certification
- 5 years of experience as researcher in projects related to sport performance and/or injury prevention
Preferred Qualification
- Earned doctorate or terminal degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or similar Allied Health
- Skills/ability to integrate technology to enhance learning and teaching.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality teaching.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
- History of successfully acquiring grant funding for research and/or equipment
- Experience with supervision of graduate student sport science practical and immersion experiences.
- Experience in advanced sport science technologies. (i.e. Hawkin Dynamics force plates, Catapult GPS, Vert, Gym Aware, Blaze Pods, NordBoard)
