The Cedarville University School of Science and Mathematics seeks applicants for a tenure track-eligible Assistant/Associate Professor of Human Biology. Rank is commensurate with experience and credentials.
Applicants must have a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and the ability to integrate faith and learning. The School of Science and Mathematics seeks to present the natural sciences and mathematics as disciplines through which students can learn to understand creation and its Creator. Our students benefit from advanced laboratories and equipment in our Engineering and Science Center–one of the best-equipped and largest facilities of its kind among independent colleges.
Primary teaching responsibilities will be in the human anatomy and physiology sequence and microbiology courses that primarily serve students in nursing and pharmaceutical science programs. Applicants may be expected to develop an upper-division elective for biology majors such as nutrition, developmental biology, pathophysiology, or human cadaver dissection and/or establish an undergraduate research program based on their interests and experience.
This position is subject to the University’s verification of credentials along with other information required by law and Cedarville University policies, including the successful completion of a background check. Position Requirements:
- MD, DO, or Ph.D. in Human Biology or a closely related field (ABD considered); or, MS in Anatomy
- Documented successful teaching experience highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team member
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Commitment to biblical integration of faith and science in and out of the classroom
- Qualified applicant must be a born-again Christian
