Job description

The tenure track Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences (Genetics) will work in the Department of Biological Sciences within the College of Arts & Sciences. The Assistant Professor will have a 12-hr. teaching load each semester, determined by the Department Chair and Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. This will generally be accomplished as a combination of four lecture and laboratory sections in courses including Genetics, Introductory Biology, Introduction to Scientific Research and Literature, Molecular Techniques, and/or additional courses in the employee’s areas of expertise.

Other responsibilities include academic advising, scholarly activity, and university service. Candidates must be committed to liberal arts education, support the Christian mission of the University, and be dedicated to excellence in undergraduate teaching, mentoring students, service, and scholarship.
