The School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Finance and Economics. This full-time, tenure-track position is open to applicants with professional experience in areas of entrepreneurship and free enterprise. Preference will be given to applicants with:
- a passion for teaching finance and economics with a focus on student success
- a willingness to lead student analyst and investment activities
- proven teaching competency in business-related courses, both traditionally and online.
The successful Assistant Professor will be expected to teach an average of three courses per semester, advise and mentor students, attend School of Business and College faculty meetings, work collaboratively with the School of Business Faculty, contribute to and attend campus events, maintain frequent contact with undergraduate students, and foster relationships with other schools and departments at Westminster College.
Applicants should possess, at minimum, a Master’s degree or higher (Ph.D. preferred) focusing on Finance and/or Economics. Applicants applying with a Master’s degree must also possess professional certifications. Applicants also should demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence, successful student outcomes, scholarship and community engagement.
