The biology program at Marian University in Fond du Lac, WI invites applications for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Biology position beginning August 2026. This position will involve teaching undergraduate lectures and labs in biology, microbiology, and molecular techniques. A normal credit load is 12 credits per semester (fall & spring).

Primary Responsibilities:

· Teach courses throughout the biology curriculum with a primary focus on introductory biology, microbiology, molecular techniques, and supervision of undergraduate research.

· Demonstrate the ability and willingness to work with diverse populations.

· Strictly honor the privacy, security and confidentiality of student records and other sensitive information according to state, federal, and college regulations, policies and procedures.

· Create an effective learning environment through the use of a variety of instructional methods.

· Engage in professional or academic activities in campus-

based, local, regional or broader communities in an effort to make a positive impact and advance the recognition and reputation of Marian University.

· Actively participate in on-campus and off-campus research seminars and other collaborative professional development activities to build collaborations between and among Marian University faculty and external partners.

· Be actively involved in student advising, mentoring, assessment and assurance of learning, curriculum design and revision, as well as committee service at all levels of the University.

· Involvement in active scholarship.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Masters in Biology or closely related field with a minimum of 18 credits in Biology.

· Experience teaching in higher education.

· Willingness to support the Mission and Core Values of Marian University

Preferred Qualifications:

· Ph.D. in Biology or closely related field.

· 2 years’ experience teaching in higher education.

· Willingness to support the Mission and Core Values of Marian University
