Job description

The Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida offers a unique opportunity to qualified applicants with expertise in business analytics. If you share our passion for outstanding teaching, consider joining our faculty as an Associate/Full Professor in Business Analytics in Fall 2027.

We seek an accomplished teacher-scholar with strong foundations in business analytics and a forward-looking understanding of how artificial intelligence is changing the way organizations analyze data, generate insights, and make decisions.

The successful candidate will teach foundational and advanced graduate courses in business analytics across Crummer’s MBA programs, Business Analytics concentration, and Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics. Current offerings include Data Analysis for Business Decision Making and Data Analytics and Visualization, with opportunities to contribute to other analytics-related courses based on the candidate’s expertise and program needs.

We are particularly interested in someone who can help students understand both the analytical foundations of the field and the judgment required to frame meaningful business problems, evaluate data and analytical outputs, recognize limitations and uncertainty, and translate analysis into sound managerial decisions.

This is a business analytics position rather than a primarily technical AI position. We seek a faculty member who understands how AI is changing analytics and can incorporate those developments meaningfully into graduate business education.

We also place a high value on faculty who can work effectively with organizations, managers, and executives. The ability to consult with companies, understand real business problems, and design and deliver high-quality executive education is an important part of the profile we are seeking.

The Faculty Role at Crummer

  • Crummer is a graduate business school in which teaching and student development are the largest part of the faculty role.
  • Faculty performance is evaluated approximately 50 percent on teaching and student development, 30 percent on scholarship, and 20 percent on service and institutional stewardship.
  • At Crummer, teaching means more than classroom hours and course delivery. We expect faculty to know their students, understand their aspirations, advise and mentor them, and help them connect what they learn to their professional development.
  • Engagement with business is an important part of that work. Faculty who consult with companies, teach executives, and maintain strong relationships with managers and business leaders bring current problems and perspectives back into the classroom. These relationships can also create experiential learning opportunities, strengthen curriculum, and help students connect more effectively to the world of practice.
  • We therefore seek a colleague who combines academic strength with genuine engagement: someone who wants to work closely with students, remain connected to business practice, engage credibly with managers and executives, collaborate with colleagues, and take shared responsibility for the quality and reputation of the School.
  • Scholarship remains an important part of the role. Faculty are expected to maintain an active research agenda and a record of peer-reviewed scholarship consistent with Crummer’s faculty bylaws and AACSB expectations.
  • Service includes faculty governance, curriculum and program development, admissions and recruitment, and other work that contributes to the effective operation and continued development of the School. In a relatively small graduate business school, we value faculty who see this work as part of being a good institutional citizen and steward of Crummer.

The Opportunity

  • Business analytics is changing rapidly as AI becomes increasingly capable of supporting data exploration, modeling, forecasting, visualization, interpretation, and other analytical tasks.
  • That evolution creates an opportunity to rethink what graduate business students and practicing managers need to know. Technical capability remains important, but so do judgment, critical thinking, communication, ethical reasoning, and the ability to understand business problems in their broader organizational and human context.
  • The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape how Crummer teaches business analytics in this changing environment, develop new courses and learning experiences, work across disciplines, engage with companies, contribute to executive education, and build connections with Central Florida’s business community.

About Crummer and Rollins

  • The Crummer Graduate School of Business is an AACSB-accredited graduate business school at Rollins College. Crummer’s MBA is ranked No. 1 in Florida on LinkedIn’s 2026 list of Top 100 Global MBA Programs and has been recognized among the world’s top 100 MBA programs for three consecutive years.
  • Crummer offers a graduate-focused environment with a relatively small faculty, close engagement with students, and opportunities to contribute meaningfully to curriculum, programs, and the direction of the School.
  • Rollins College brings a strong liberal arts tradition to graduate business education. Its emphasis on critical thinking, communication, ethical reasoning, and understanding human and organizational context is particularly relevant as analytics and AI play a greater role in managerial decision-making.
