Job description
Function: Under the supervision of the Vice President for Marketing and Enrollment, the Associate Vice President for Undergraduate Admissions serves as the operational core ofIntegrated Enrollment Management, ensuring students experience a fast, transparent, andpersonalized admissions process.
Description of Duties and Tasks:
- Admissions Operations and Workflow Design
Oversee the full admissions process from application completion through enrollment.Design and manage workflows that support the 24-hour complete decision, coordinatingacross Financial Aid, Housing, and Registrar.Ensure timely, accurate decision-making and communication with prospective students.
- Team Management and Performance
Supervise admissions counselors and operations staff focused on application throughputand conversion outcomes.Establish clear productivity goals, performance metrics, and professional developmentopportunities.Foster a culture of efficiency, data accuracy, and mission-driven service.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work together with the AVP for Enrollment Marketing to ensure seamless inquiry-toapplication handoffs and aligned messaging.Partner with Financial Aid to ensure rapid packaging and accurate communication of aidoffers.Coordinate with Student Services and First-Year Experience to support onboarding andpersistence through add/drop.
- Data Management and Reporting
Manage Salesforce workflows to track applications, monitor SLAs, and ensure dataaccuracy.Analyze conversion and yield data to forecast enrollment, identify bottlenecks, andimprove processes.Report regularly to leadership on performance against key conversion benchmarks.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
To fully perform the above functions, the incumbent must possess the following knowledge,skills, and abilities, or demonstrate that the major responsibilities of the job can beaccomplished, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some combination of skills andabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree required, master’s preferred.
- At least seven years of admissions or enrollment management experience with a strongoperational focus.- Proven record of designing efficient workflows and managing large, data-driven teams.
- Experience using Salesforce or comparable CRM systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple departments and stakeholders.
