Position Summary
The Division of Nursing Science of Indiana University South Bend, within the Vera Z. Dwyer School of Health Sciences, invites applications for one full-time, ten-month, non-tenure track faculty position beginning August 1, 2025.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to teaching undergraduate-level lectures and clinical courses in the BSN program. The focus for this position will be pediatric and medical/surgical nursing. Other teaching responsibilities may include teaching graduate courses in the MSN Program, clinical simulation, and other in-person, online or hybrid instruction in relevant areas of expertise.

Faculty may also be required to teach evening, weekend, online, or off-site courses. In addition to teaching, service to the college, campus, and community is expected, as well as to regularly attending and participating in faculty meetings. Additional responsibilities may include development of new courses and degree programs.

The Division of Nursing Science’s programs are fully accredited by the Commission in Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Basic Qualifications
Required Qualifications

  • An earned MSN degree in nursing
  • Must have or be eligible to hold a current RN license in Indiana
  • Successful candidates will demonstrate:
    • A passion for teaching the next generation of nurses
    • Commitment to teaching a diverse student population
    • The ability to foster the IU South Bend Division of Nursing image in the community
    • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience in pediatric or medical/surgical practice
  • Internal motivation to become excellent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree
  • Previous teaching experience
