Felician University, the Franciscan University of New Jersey, seeks an academically qualified specialist to serve as Assistant/Associate Professor of Mathematics in the School of Arts and Sciences for the 2026-2027 academic year. Candidates should have experience teaching in a traditional and online environment and must be willing to pursue Felician online certification. S/he must possess comprehensive mathematical expertise to teach across the complete spectrum of undergraduate mathematics courses, from developmental and foundational courses through advanced upper-level offerings required for the bachelor’s degree in mathematics. S/he will serve students at all levels of mathematical preparation utilizing exceptional communication skills to make complex mathematical concepts accessible and engaging for diverse learners.

Required Education:
Earned doctoral degree in Mathematics or related field such as Mathematics Education or Applied Mathematics
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise across the full spectrum of undergraduate mathematics curriculum from developmental through advanced coursework.
- Minimum of two years teaching experience in mathematics at the college level.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to explain complex mathematical concepts clearly and effectively.
- Demonstrated skill in working with students of diverse academic backgrounds and learning styles.
- Proficiency with mathematical software, learning management systems, and educational technology tools.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning preferences and academic preparation levels.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Ability and willingness to support and promote the Felician Franciscan core values and mission of the University.
Salary:
$67,100 – 74,700 Commensurate with rank and experience
