The College of Behavioral and Natural Sciences at Black Hills State University invites applications for the position of Instructor of Biology.

A strong candidate will have experience or interest in teaching introductory biology and upper-level courses in an area of specialization using innovative instructional strategies involving active student participation. This position is not tenure-track, but annual renewal is expected.

DUTIES:

  • Teaching courses in introductory biology, upper-level classes in candidate’s area of specialization, some of which may be online. The standard teaching load for an instructor is 15 course credits per semester (30 credits per year).
  • Advising students as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:
The minimum qualification is a Master’s degree in Biology or closely related field with at least 18 graduate credits of mathematics.

Advertised Salary: $50,000 – $52,000 DOE/Q
