The Department of Biochemistry and Chemistry at Southern Arkansas University invites applicants for non-tenure track position of Instructor of Chemistry position. Housed in the College of Science and Engineering, the Department of Biochemistry and Chemistry currently offers undergraduate degrees in Chemistry, Pre-Health Professional Biochemistry and Forensic Science. This position begins August, 2023.
Duties: Teach 15 hours of undergraduate courses split between lecture and laboratory in liberal arts chemistry and in other chemistry courses for non-majors; demonstrate the ability to engage students from across all majors; show a commitment to quality instruction; be familiar with computer data collection in undergraduate laboratories and preparation of laboratory materials; participate in recruitment efforts and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Ph.D or ABD in any area of Chemistry, or Master’s in Chemistry with teaching experience; must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
