Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting an Ahorangi/Ahonuku/ Pūkenga Matua – Professor/Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology to join Te Kura Mātai Hinengaro – School of Psychology on a permanent, full-time contract. In this role you will be responsible for research, teaching, and supervision in the Clinical Psychology programme.

Key responsibilities:

  • Teach child clinical psychology and other relevant clinical topics at undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Assist the academic and clinical staff to redevelop the existing clinical psychology programme

Key requirements:

  • An established high-quality research portfolio in the area of clinical psychology
  • Demonstrated evidence of academic leadership
  • Practice experience as a Clinical Psychologist and eligibility for registration as a Clinical Psychologist in New Zealand
  • Extensive evidence of high-quality teaching at tertiary level in the area of child clinical psychology, and clinical psychology more broadly
