Summary of Position
To teach lecture and lab courses in Physics and Astronomy as assigned by the Department Chair.
Minimum Required Education
Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Physics and/or related courses from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
Minimum Required Experience
Teaching experience at the secondary and/or postsecondary level in Science is preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- To teach and prepare lectures and labs in Physics and Astronomy
- Ability to communicate with written and oral expertise in the English language.
- Computer literacy required.
- Ability to promote an effective environment for learning in lecture and lab experiences.
- Ability to teach students from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
Hours Full-time, indicate working hours – 40
