Aspen Leadership Group is proud to partner with Furman University in the search for a Vice President for Development.

Reporting to the University President, the Vice President for Development will serve as the chief development officer of the University and be responsible for designing and implementing its institutional development programs as well as recruiting and developing talented team members toward significantly increasing constituent involvement and financial support. The development function includes annual and endowment support, planning and solicitation of major gifts and capital campaigns, alumni and constituent relations, and donor relations and stewardship. The Vice President will oversee a team of approximately 40 staff, an annual fund of $4 million, and overall fundraising in the range of $40 million to $50 million.

A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least ten years of progressive experience in nonprofit fundraising is required for this position. An advanced degree is preferred. Furman University will consider candidates with a broad range of backgrounds. The salary range for this position is $250,000 to $275,000.
