Job description

Kutztown University of Pennsylvania seeks a Vice President for Enrollment Management to lead a high-functioning enrollment management division and continue the work of galvanizing the entire University around meeting enrollment and student success goals and objectives.

Reporting directly to the President of the University, the successful candidate will lead a well-planned, analytically supported, highly integrated, and continuously evaluated suite of initiatives, working closely with students from the pre-inquiry stage to graduation with the goal of improving enrollments and retention and creating the strongest possible student academic profile for the University. The Vice President will formulate, execute, and continuously evolve a transparent, collaborative and cutting-edge enrollment management and retention strategy that stems from and is tied to the mission, goals, and evolving strategic plan of the University.

Under the general supervision of the President, this position provides leadership in the development and implementation of a comprehensive enrollment management plan for the University. This position provides oversight and coordination between the offices of Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate Admissions, International Admissions, and Financial Aid, to ensure delivery of quality services to all constituents, including prospective, current, and former students, faculty, staff, and administrators.

KU is a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and was founded in 1866 as Keystone State Normal School. It became Kutztown State Teachers College in 1928, Kutztown State College in 1960, and achieved university status in 1983. The mission of Kutztown University is to provide affordable, high-quality undergraduate, graduate, and lifelong learning opportunities that empower students of all ages for their intellectual, social, civic, and career endeavors. With more than 130 areas of study, a strong and dedicated community of faculty and staff, and a picturesque, 289-acre campus, there is so much to discover at Kutztown University. KU is a warm, welcoming community that’s grounded in a strong work ethic. The University’s 7,367 students, approximately 27% of whom are first-generation college students, are people of strong character who are willing to work hard to realize their potential. They come from 34 states and 40 nations, and 76,000 alumni can be found across the U.S. and beyond. Undergraduate programs are offered in the colleges of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Visual and Performing Arts, Business, and Education. There are also more than 40 graduate areas of study, including two doctoral programs. An Honors Program, study abroad, internships, student/faculty research, and experiential learning opportunities round out the academic experience.

The Vice President will develop and lead the execution of a comprehensive, long-range, yet flexible strategic enrollment plan for the University that effectively integrates best practices in recruitment to sustain strong branding and increase enrollment of traditional students while identifying new opportunities to recruit non-traditional and transfer students. The plan will support the University’s overall mission and goals, inclusive of building new markets and focusing on the entire student life cycle. The Vice President will also collaborate closely with the Provost and President to develop and expand initiatives that increase retention and persistence. Serving as a valued partner with units across the University in support of recruitment, retention, and student success efforts will be critical.

This is a full-time on-site position in Pennsylvania. Starting salary is competitive within PASSHE. The position also comes with a generous benefits package.
