Founded in 1931, Ringling College of Art and Design is a private, not-for-profit, undergraduate institution recognized as one of the leading art and design colleges in the nation. Located in Sarasota, Florida, the College enrolls approximately 1,500 students from across the United States and more than 50 countries. Ringling College seeks a Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA) to help achieve its vision of becoming the preeminent art and design college in the world.
The VPFA will be a strategic, innovative, and collaborative leader that serves as the Chief Financial andAdministrative Officer of the College. Reporting directly to the new president, Dr. Davis Schneiderman, the VPFA serves as a key member of the senior leadership team. The VPFA will partner closely with the Board of Trustees, senior administrators, and campus stakeholders to align financial and administrative strategies with the College’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities.
The VPFA is responsible for the overall leadership, strategy, and oversight of financial operations and keyadministrative functions. These include business affairs, human resources, facilities, public safety, auxiliaryenterprises, and related operations, including Studio Labs and the Sarasota Art Museum business functions.
The College seeks a highly accomplished and mission-driven leader with a demonstrated record of success in financial and administrative leadership within a complex organization. The successful candidate will bring at least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in finance and administration and exhibit the ability to align financial planning with institutional priorities.
Experience in higher education or a mission-driven nonprofit organization is preferred. This is a full-time position that will be performed on site in Florida.
