The Chemistry Department at Whitman College is seeking candidates for a one-year position in General Chemistry, at the rank of visiting assistant professor, beginning August 2025. A Ph.D. is required upon starting the position.

The successful candidate will offer courses in general chemistry lecture and lab. The annual teaching load is five courses. Depending on resource availability and interest, the successful candidate may have the opportunity to pursue research projects involving undergraduate students during the academic year or during the summer.

Salary Range: $65,000-$70,000
