Overview
Providence College: The Department of Philosophy invites applications for the post of Visiting Assistant Professor, commencing August, 2025.The Department has teaching needs in several areas, including History of Philosophy, Introduction to Philosophy, General Ethics, and Business Ethics. Successful candidates should either possess a Ph.D. or be ABD from an accredited institution and should have a demonstrable commitment to and/or experience with engaging diverse students in the classroom and be supportive of the Department’s commitment to teaching the history of philosophy.

Duties and Responsibilities
Should also be willing to participate in interdisciplinary team teaching in the College’s Development of Western Civilization Program. The teaching load is three courses (9 credits) per semester.
Education and Experience
Successful candidates should either possess a Ph.D. or be ABD from an accredited institution.
