The MSSU Teacher Education Department is seeking a 10-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning August 1, 2019 for the 2019-2020 academic year in the area(s) of Teacher Education-Elementary Reading/Literacy. Rank and tenure status are dependent on qualifications. A terminal degree in a related educational field is preferred. ABD and Master’s degree in a related discipline is considered with a commitment to complete a terminal degree. Successful teaching experience in PreK-12 schools, the ability to work cooperatively, and willingness to invest in best practices and 21st century technology are critical. Other responsibilities include student advising, candidate assessment in clinical/field experiences, and active participation in service and scholarship activities.
