Mississippi State University’s Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology, and Foundations is seeking applications for a 9-month, tenure-track, assistant professor position in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a CACREP-accredited program, to begin August 2019 at the main campus based in Starkville, MS.
Primary responsibilities will include: graduate and undergraduate teaching and advising; supervision of practicum and internship; conducting research and scholarly activity (including grants); and providing service and outreach in the area of Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Opportunity for summer teaching exists.
Qualifications include a doctoral degree in Counselor Education with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or closely related counseling field (ABD will be considered if degree completion is prior to start date), and demonstration of potential for excellence in the areas of teaching, research, and service.
We prefer candidates having doctoral degree from a CACREP-accredited program, and current LPC or eligibility for licensure in Mississippi, as well as supervisory credential (e.g., LPC-S) and supervisory experience.
Salary is competitive and dependent on qualifications.
