Job description

The Hospitality and Tourism Management program at Flagler College invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 2018. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Hospitality, Tourism, or closely related discipline (or have a documented completion date prior to appointment) and demonstrate commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduate students. Teaching and/or industry experience in two or more of the following areas is required: hotel management, lodging operations, hospitality finance and accounting, marketing and sales, guest services management, human resources, and resort/club administration. Candidates should be eager to engage students in high-impact experiential learning and possess a genuine desire for interdisciplinary involvement on- and off-campus. Preference will be given to candidates who are motivated to mentor and develop students toward achieving their passions.

Candidates should provide evidence of excellence in teaching, an active professional agenda, and examples of potential courses. The teaching load is four classes per semester. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with rank and experience.
