Job Description

The chosen applicant will be expected to maintain a successful record in the areas of teaching, scholarship and service (including advising and recruiting) commensurate with a tenure-track position. Teaching load is 24 semester hours or equivalent per academic year in Middle Childhood Education courses including introductory and foundational courses, curriculum development course, and courses that make up the Middle Childhood Education Reading Core, and Middle Childhood Methods courses.

Teaching via distance learning technology will be required for some classes. In addition to teaching load, the chosen applicant will be responsible for leading the Middle Childhood Program including keeping up with the program requirements, program accreditation, student advising and recruitment, collaboration with related faculty and staff.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have a Ph.D. or Ed.D. with evidence of successful college/university teaching, and at least three (3) years of middle school classroom teaching experience.
